Luke Stalley


  • Graduated with a BA in Human Sciences from the University of Oxford with an interest in the different articulations of and approaches to biology and the body in the life and social sciences.
  • Completed his MSc in Medical Anthropology & Sociology at the University of Amsterdam. His thesis was an ethnographic study of care and cleaning in a complex needs homeless shelter, exploring the practices and concerns of managers, front-line staff, and clients.
  • Has previous experience of working in hospital care, homeless support and citizens advice.
  • Research interests include institutional and non-institutional forms of care, the organisation of health and social care services, and the meeting points of identity, health, (dis)ability and new technologies.
