Place-based

Originally founded as a specialist ethnographic agency, we remain committed to context-based research: exploring the influence of people, place and time on behaviour.

As a rule, we aim to study people in their natural environments. Our researchers are constantly crisscrossing the UK – and the world – to understand people not just in their native cities, towns and villages, but in the homes and social spaces which shape them.

Wherever possible, we seek to capture and compare multiple perspectives – talking to the people and communities around our ‘main’ respondents. And we always aim to maximise contact time: using online and offline tracking tools to study behaviour over longer periods.

Revealing Reality possess the rare ability of being able to reveal the heart of the issue, whether behavioural or environmental, in the most complex, often inhospitable, of environments.

We know that the forensic depth of an ethnographic approach often means sacrificing the larger samples of other qualitative methods. But we believe our award-winning track-record speaks for itself. Quite simply, no qualitative method is better for clients who are serious about developing new thinking and solutions to complex or long-standing challenges.
