Our work with the ICO on the Age Appropriate Design Code

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is looking at the ways websites and apps use the information that children create when they go online.

The ICO has commissioned Revealing Reality to explore the views of parents, carers and children on a number of issues that will be addressed by the Age Appropriate Design Code.

This research will inform the development of the content of the code, which will provide clarity on the design standards that the Commissioner will expect to be met by providers of online services and apps used by children.

Revealing Reality researchers have already spoken directly to some children and adults and have now created a survey so that everyone else who wants to, has a chance to share their views.
